On September 22, a delegation led by Abdlmuhsin Hassen Alajib, President of Wolkite University, and Yared Mulu Gelaw, President of Assosa University visited Hubei University. Li Zhen, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hubei University Committee and Vice-president of Hubei University, met with the delegation.
Li Zhen extended a warm welcome to the delegation and signed memorandums of cooperation with each university . He noted that the two Ethiopian universities and Hubei University each have distinctive academic strengths and broad prospects for collaboration. He expressed hope that both sides would continue to strengthen communications, deepen practical cooperation across various fields, jointly enhance the quality and influence of international education, and contribute to China-Africa educational cooperation and the building of a China-Africa community with a shared future.
Abdlmuhsin Hassen Alajib and Yared Mulu Gelaw respectively introduced the characteristics and advantages of their institutions.They emphasized their high regard for cooperation with Hubei University and looked forward to leveraging this meeting as an opportunity to fully tap into the the resource endowments of each side, deepen comprehensive exchanges and collaboration, and achieve mutual benefit and common development.
Representatives from both sides also engaged in in-depth discussions on student exchange programs, co-construction and sharing of courses, as well as academic exchange and cooperation.
