On 16 September, a delegation comprising journalists from Russia’s mainstream media and online influencers paid a visit to Hubei University for talks on people‑to‑people and cultural exchange. She noted that Hubei University has established stable, regular cooperative ties with 11 Russian higher education institutions including Tomsk State Pedagogical University and Ural Federal University. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the China‑Russia Strategic Cooperative Partnership and the launch of the China‑Russia Year of Education. She expressed the hope that both sides would keep communication channels open and deepen practical cooperation in fields such as faculty‑student exchanges, talent development, joint research platforms and people‑to‑people bonds.

Chen Hanhua pointed out that Hubei‑Russia sub‑national exchanges have a long‑standing history. The two sides have carried out solid and fruitful cooperation in sister‑city relations, economic and trade ties, scientific‑technological innovation and cultural exchange. Going forward, Hubei will continue to build high‑quality platforms for academic exchange, practical interaction and intellectual dialogue, creating conditions for young people of the two countries to know, understand and grow alongside one another, and further boosting sub‑national friendship and cooperation between China and Russia.

Andrey Nastasyin thanked Hubei University for its gracious reception. He remarked that Russia‑China high‑level engagement remains close, with thriving economic‑trade cooperation and civil‑society exchanges. He looked forward to advancing all‑round cooperation with Hubei University in education, media, youth programs and other areas to realize resource sharing, complementary advantages and mutual benefit.
