Hou Yong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Hubei University committee, led a delegation on a working visit to Macao from April 23 to 25, aiming to advance educational cooperation and people-to-people exchanges with local institutions.

During its stay in Macao, the delegation paid successive courtesy visits to City University of Macau (CityU) and Macao Polytechnic University (MPU), where they held in-depth talks on faculty exchange, joint training and academic research cooperation.

The delegation also conducted a on-site visit to the Macao Young Entrepreneur Incubation Centre (MYEIC). Discussions there yielded agreements on three areas: co-building a platform to empower mainland enterprises to go global via Macao, promoting commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, and establishing a collaborative talent cultivation mechanism.

En route to Macao, the delegation participated in the Signing Ceremony and Roundtable Discussion on the "Initiative on Deepening Cooperation in the Cultivation of Portuguese and Spanish Language Talents" in Zhuhai. Hosted by the Service Center for Economic and Trade between China and Portuguese/Spanish-speaking Countries (CECP), the event marked a significant step in building a regular exchange mechanism. This cooperation will inject new momentum into the coordinated educational development between Hubei Province and Macao, as well as the implementation of the national Belt and Road Initiative.

The Hubei University delegation was received by senior officials including Ye Guiping, Vice Rector of City University of Macau; Li Yanlian, Vice Rector of Macao Polytechnic University; representatives from the Macao Young Entrepreneur Incubation Centre; and Fang Junxin, Deputy General Manager of Dahengqin (Macao) Company Limited. Heads of Hubei University's Hong Kong.
